  1. Custom Admin URL

It would be nice if you would let us put the admin system on a custom URL that way both interfaces could work on the same port.

    https://mail.something.com -> Port 80/443 on same server
    https://admin.something.com -> Port 80443 on same server

  2. More informative error notifications

If one user tries to send a message to another with the full mailbox (overquota) within axigen webmail domain, operation fails and he gets "the message could not be send" error though the address exists.

  4. Update web based mail list management

Managing a mail list (e.g. approving messages, subscriptions etc.) is not supported in the newer ajax interfaces and requires switching back to the old html interface.

it would be better if mail list accounts had a dedicated ajax\web based interface

  5. Archive email on outlook client

Support moving (coping) emails (group of) from Outlook Axigen connector account to a .pst "outlook archive" file.

That "operation" should be "possible", actually is not. Not always.
Often an error is generated: Outlook 2010 32&64bit

  6. Name each exception.

Could you please add the ability to give a name to an allowed IP or range to document each exception. The exceptions are located at Security & Filtering > Acceptance and Routing > Routing Basic Settings > Add IP / Range. Thank you

  8. BlackList and WiteList

For example, I incidentally added to a black list and in white the same sender and when receiving mail it automatically gets to Recycled folder.

What to avoid such situation in the future, can make:
    1. The first verification of the white list and then the black
And if the addressee is in the white list, in black to ignore
    2. Or
If you add to the white list, and the addressee is in black, reported about it
(and if you add to a black list, and the addressee is in white)

  9. check MX record and reverse DNS

    There is one more problem:

    Axigen -> DNS Check
use Reject message if originator's domain has no MX entry
use Reject message if the originalting IP has no reverse DNS entry

If i use this two rules, they work as ALL conditions(not ANY conditions), that is wrong.
it is possible to make so that checked the MX record first and then checked reverse DNS,
and if MX record pass then don't checked reverse DNS.
Because not always MX record = A record in DNS

That is Reverse DNS has to be included only for entering connections or has to exclude…

Could you give me some examples of attributes that your customers would like to bulk change? Can’t this be done using account classes?

  11. Please focus on improving your core functionality

Please don't waste time on this when there are proven free tools out there like https://owncloud.org/.

  12. Allow moving mailboxes between clustered nodes

When using a clustered environment it would be helpful if I could move mailboxes between servers in order to re-organize the logical location of a mailbox.

  13. Clustering support with auto-failover

Currently in a clustered environment we have to following situation:

If a backend-node goes down, all mailboxes mounted there are not reachable anymore.
If I use a shared storage where mailboxes are located physically it would be technically possible
the remaining nodes do not mount that existing mailboxes mount mailboxes which were located on the failing node.

  15. Update downloadable binaries when there is a patch available

Currently it seems that binaries from download section are not updated when there is a patch available.
What now happens is that customers download the initial version, install it. We have to apply the patches afterwards. This is causing double effort. It would be better to included them in downloadable packages instantly.

  16. Nice, but keep away from re-inventing the wheel

    Nice idea.

First steps are done, but there is much more. In order to have a good solution, the next requests would be:

    1. You need a desktop client / sync client for all platforms
    2. After that a mobile client for all platforms
    3. After that you need encryption on client and server side
    4. You need a way to send a link to a file (by this external access for outside users) instead of attachment (like OneDrive does).
    5. Have Multi-Factor Authentication

What I want to say is that there are many well known solutions out there we shouldn't try to copy.
    Maybe…

  17. SPF Whitelisting

Most mailing lists now implement the Sender Rewriting Scheme to ensure compatibility with SPF and DMARC etc.

However, not all do. If a mailing list forwards e-mail from a domain with an SPF record without rewriting the sender, then the e-mail whilst legitimate will fail the SPF checks.

I've already submitted a proposal to implement moving the e-mail to the Axigen quarantine if it fails SPF rather than reject it outright. In this way e-mails from legitimate maillists which aren't compatible with SPF can be detected. However, in order to allow receipt of e-mails it would also be necessary to…

  18. Desktop access

Good stuff, I would suggest that desktop access to files was enabled via an app similar to dropbox/googledrive because mapping drives via explorer is problematic and will cause slowdowns and show warnings at boot-up/login if explorer cannot remount the drive right away.

We’re currently looking at some WebDAV clients for Windows, OS X, Android & iOS. If you have any recommendations in this direction — vendors that we could even partner with, that would be greatly appreciated.

  19. Limiting

I would like to see some limitations on the sharing URL. If I've missed something in preview then just skip this part.

    1. Authentication a/ share with domain users -> ability to pickup who can download the file based on the user in domain. User must provide credentials.

b/ ability to set the password/code for the download. So for the external user must provide code for the download to work

So the share can be just URL, URL+code or URL + domain user authentication

    1. limiting a/ possibility to set time of share. After this time the files is not shared anymore…

  20. Nice, but can we control the port separately from webmail used to access the files?

Would like to know how ports for file sharing separately from webmail?

Files (WebDAV) will be running over the webmail service, so it will have the same port. Same happens currently with CardDAV, which can be accessed at [webmail address](:webmail port)/Contacts.

What would be the need behind controlling the port? What would you want to achieve?
