  1. Adding the "email title" variable to "Delivery status notifications"

    Hello
It would be a good idea to expand the possibilities of customizing "Delivery status notifications"
Is it possible to add the "email title" variable as in other email systems?

    Thank You.

  2. Ability to sync contacts between backend servers.

We would like either the front end servers to sync the contact information between backend servers. Or alternatively a CLI command would allow us to add contacts to a server.

  3. DLP feature in Axigen

Axigen email server should support basic DLP features that will help for compliance purpose. Users sending emails to outside domain containing specific keywords, can be
    1. Sent outside but notified to admin,
    2. Blocked at gateway and notified to sender & admin
    3. Forwarded to Admin for approval and notified to sender..

  4. Calendar - always answer invitations with the email address the invitation was send to to prevent duplications

Current behaviour of Axigen is to answer incoming meeting invitaions always with the primary email addres of an account. It does not respect the email the invitaion was send to.

Due to this behaviour we often get invitated twice to meetings without anyone can do anything against it.

    Example:
    1. primary email: flastname@... , official email: firstname.lastname@...
    2. Other external user sends invitation to firstname.lastname@...
    3. Axigen automaticall answers invitation with flastname@...
    4. Other Mail server (mostly Exchange) adds flastname@... to the invitation list tooo
    5. Now all changes to this meeting/recurring meeting are send…

  5. 2FA and app-passwords (like GMail, ...)

    Dear Support,

it is very nice that you have set up 2FA (TOTP) support for webmail. However, in this way the functionality is unfortunately insufficient, as no additional security is achieved.

    Example:

My password is “simpler” and 2FA is enabled. In this situation, access to the webmailer is sufficiently protected, as a potential attacker would need to both guess or spy on the password and use the associated second factor (TOTP).
However, since only the webmailer is secured, this unfortunately does not help very much. Access via SMTP, CALDAV/CARDAV, ActiveSync, IMAP is unrestricted with the simple password without a second

  6. Support for OCSP stapling

OCSP (Online Certificate Status Protocol) stapling is a mechanism that allows a web server to provide information about the validity of its SSL/TLS certificate to clients during the SSL/TLS handshake process.

This mechanism should be used with Axigen mail servers, it would improve security and compliance.

  7. Explicit white-listing Or contact-list should have higher precedence than black-listing

There are instances where a mail domain is a frontend for many hosted domains EX: @ap-south-1.amazonses.com, where the envelope-sender is the blacklisted-domain (by Admin) sending mails with header "From" for some-hosted domain.

In such cases the blacklisted-domain cannot be removed from the BL but the hosted domain can be whitelisted, thus finetuning the selection.

Currently the BL has higher precedence but if whitelist has a higher precendence then one can finetune the behaviour & block most of the spams while still being able to allow whitelisted-domains' mails going to Inboxes.

The same should be allowed for Contact-List of the user…

  9. Restart mail services after automatic Let's Encrypt SSL certificate renewal

Some mail client - Apple Mail in particular, and Veeam Backup Server notification services in my experience - do not recognize when a new Let's Encrypt SSL certificate is installed on the Axigen server until the email services (SMTP and IMAP) are manually restarted on the Axigen server. They seem to be handed the previous SSL certificate by the Axigen server, or perhaps hold onto a cached one. Either way, if a simple/quick/automatic restart of the mail services would be performed on the Axigen server when a new Let's Encrypt SSL certificate is installed, this would avoid having to log…

  10. Allow users to change the sort sequence of conversations to allow them see newer emails on top.

Currently it seems that conversations are sorted with older emails on top and newer emails at the bottom of the conversation. It would be good to allow the user to change the sort sequence so that new emails appear at the top of the conversation.

  11. Automatic creation of filter destination folders

Automatic creation of filter destination folders.

When a global rule is created (from Domain / Account Defaults / Message Filters or Groups / Message Filters) to move a message to a certain folder, that folder should be created automatically if it does not exist. It is very complicated to create this folder for each account when managing servers with many accounts

  12. Labels in shared folders

For collaboration purposes it would be great to have labels in shared folders which can be seen by multiple users (let's call them global or domain-wide labels). User1 could attach a label to a message in a shared folder and user2 could also see this label.

  13. Option to deactivate 2FA while accessing webmail service from internal network

Even though 2FA adds security, sometimes it is annoying while accessing webmail services from internal networks. Disabling this feature if you are accessing within the organization be helpful for scenarios where users are not allowed to carry mobile in the production environment.

  14. DNSBL per domain

Currently DNSBL is set on a server level by using:
    - Additional Antispam Methods -> DNSBL

Then those DNSBLs are used for each and every domain one has configured on a server.

I would like to propose the possibility to configure different DNS block lists for different domains. After all, not all domains need/want the same level of spam-DNS blocking.

This feature would give MSPs and email hosting companies the possibility to fine tune the DNSBL spam response of the server for particular customer/domain in regards to their (customers) needs.

  15. Add users to mail Groups across a clustered domain

Currently it is only possible to add users to a Group if they are on the same Back-End server in a cluster. It would be much more useful to add users to a Group across the entire domain on that cluster.

  16. Ability to see domain and user storage size

Knowing the space used on a domain or email box is very important for us. I understand that there is a python script but the output cannot even be exported as csv because if its format so we can convert it to MB and see from top to lowest usage. Its just simple basic reporting that we are missing.

  17. reCAPTCHA support for web login

It would be nice to support reCAPTCHA in web login. Google reCAPTCHA is not accessible in China. It would be nice to allow other reCAPTCHA plugin add into the webmail and webadmin access. i.e. GEETEST (https://www.geetest.com)

  18. automatic install of Axigen X4 minor updates

Older Axigen versions had a script to install minor updates scheduled. This script does not work anymore with X4.

Installing minor updates manually needs always a downtime, so scheduled minor updates would very welcome for X4.

Either any kind of script or - since X4 seems to be rpm based - for Red Hat based os just a repository we can add to yum.

This would make administration a lot easier.

  20. individual account class/group permissions customization

I have defined a number of classes to segregate the accounts as per required settings & tweaks based on roles in the organization.

I have delegated some rights to minor admins where I need to to allow them to change the class of an account to only a particular class if it belongs to default class.

The issue comes when I provide this right of class modification, they get complete rights in regard to class modification of an account which has some undesirable side-effects.

Is it possible to restrict the class modification to some particular class only & not any…
