Log in from Admin as User
To better be able to troubleshoot issues that a user has reported, it would be helpful to have a log in as customer/user option as an administrator.
- You are not solely relying on the user to provide a detailed explanation to the issue.
- You would also not need to ask for (or reset) the user password to the email account.

As we talk about the possibility of seeing user mailboxes with this feature just think about the FTP backup or mounting the storage with the FUSE module. When you do this you can reach the mailboxes. I think it's already possible to see the mailboxes and impersonating a user with logging it's much better option. I assume that because it's easier through the web interface than logging in, mounting, etc. And even admins - just like me - go with the faster way. And you have further possibilities just like prompting the user that happened. Just like popping up a message in the webmail interface and sending an email after the admin logged out from the impersonated account.

Careful there. Even if it's not against GDPR, Germany, for instance, has rather strict rules about accessing other people's mailboxes / e-mails. To be allowed to do so, the customer's company has to make sure this matter is taken care of in the employee's contract.

Good idea. It's needed for some archivers and backup solution. It's not against GDPR if you log everything and you have to elevate the rights so it's logged.

Please comply with GDPR when thinking about such an options. Admins should stay away from users mailboxes whenever possible
