Desktop access
Good stuff, I would suggest that desktop access to files was enabled via an app similar to dropbox/googledrive because mapping drives via explorer is problematic and will cause slowdowns and show warnings at boot-up/login if explorer cannot remount the drive right away.

We’re currently looking at some WebDAV clients for Windows, OS X, Android & iOS. If you have any recommendations in this direction — vendors that we could even partner with, that would be greatly appreciated.

Brilliant. Well thought out and well integrated. I especially like the fact that you are using WebDAV so any OS that supports that standard will work with it. Someone suggested an app on each platform to help mount the remote drive, maybe there are already apps like this for WebDAV?
